Structure and accelerate due diligence workflows for early and growth-stage investments — from reference calls to technical review.
Quick Start
Use this skill when:
- You have a signed term sheet and need to run a structured diligence process
- Reference calls have been completed and notes need synthesis
- You are reviewing a data room and need to extract key financial metrics
- You need to benchmark the company's projections against sector comps
- The IC memo needs drafting from assembled diligence materials
How It Works
Due Diligence starts with a company intake — stage, sector, deal size, and known risks. From this, it generates a sector-specific checklist covering commercial, financial, legal, technical, and team diligence tracks. Each item is assigned an owner and a target completion date.
As the data room is shared, the skill parses uploaded documents — financials, contracts, cap table, legal agreements — and extracts structured data. Anomalies (missing months, unusual accounting treatments, excessive option grants) are flagged automatically.
Reference Call Synthesis
Paste or upload reference call transcripts and the skill extracts themes across calls: common strengths, repeated concerns, and outlier signals. Each theme is scored for sentiment and frequency. The output is a structured reference summary with direct quotes supporting each theme.
For customer references specifically, the skill identifies NPS signals, churn risk indicators, and feature request patterns that inform the commercial diligence track.
Investment Memo Output
After diligence is complete, the skill assembles findings into a one-page IC memo draft covering: company overview, why now, investment thesis, key risks and mitigants, deal terms, and return scenarios. The draft uses your firm's memo template and marks each section with the source diligence item it draws from.
